I am an Associate Professor of Supply Chain Management at Arizona State University and a Harold E. Fearon Fellow at the Center for Advanced Procurement Strategy (CAPS), a B2B nonprofit research center serving supply management leaders at Fortune 1000 companies.

My research (almost) always begins with a challenge faced by a specific organization. I combine field studies and analytics to generate evidence and develop practical, low-cost, and scalable solutions. My work spans supply chain strategy, resource allocation, workforce and asset management, education, food systems, and humanitarian service delivery.

The resulting studies have been published in leading OM journals, including Production and Operations Management (POM), Manufacturing & Service Operations Management (MSOM), and the Journal of Operations Management (JOM). It has received several recognitions, including the DARPA Young Faculty Award, the W. P. Carey Dean’s Mid-Career Excellence in Research Award, the Decision Sciences Institute’s Buffa Outstanding Dissertation Award, and the Latta Emerging Leadership Award.
 

I am honored to hold editorial positions with MSOM, JOM, and POM. I have also been fortunate to contribute to professional panels, conferences, award committees, and research competitions and to deliver more than 100 invited presentations worldwide. I also founded the INFORMS Webinar on Contemporary Operations in Developing Economies.
 

I welcome opportunities to collaborate with governments and businesses in developing countries to develop innovative solutions to operations and supply chain challenges, particularly when data are limited or the outcomes of decisions are uncertain.
